Camille Hicks, M.D.

Dr. Hicks was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She completed high school at Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the Louisiana State University Ogden Honors College, where she was recognized as a University Medalist, before earning her Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Hicks completed her ophthalmology residency at the LSU Eye Center in New Orleans, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at Indiana University.

Dr. Hicks is committed to providing compassionate, personalized eye care and believes in partnering with patients and families for the best visual outcomes. She has expertise in the medical and surgical management of pediatric eye diseases, including eye muscle disorders, amblyopia, pediatric cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, and tear duct disorders. She is also trained in clinical and surgical management of adult strabismus.

Dr. Hicks is excited to return home to care for patients of the Acadiana community. She is married to her husband, Phil, and they have one daughter named Isabel.
